There's no shortage of sites for book recommendations. A cursory Google search throws up thousands of results. Though I've long been tempted to build a site to aggregate book lists and recommendations, I've so far avoided the temptation.

However, I was listening to some podcasts and the guests mentioned some books and had interesting things—both good and bad—to say about them. That's when the idea hit me that it's probably a better idea to aggregate mentions of books by smart and thoughtful people, and that's how this humble little site was born.

What I do is make a note of book mentions I come across and update them here with some context. That's it. Nothing more.
